A cell phone or not? This is the question that parents sometimes have to decide. Do I give my teenager a phone, or do I make them earn some money for it?

Cell phones, or mobile phones, are becoming more popular around the world as a preferred form of communication, but can you find a cheap calling plan that will fit your budget? What do you look for when deciding on a cell phone or a phone carrier (e.g., cost of phone, number of minutes a month, cancellation fees, etc.)? What types of international calling cards can be used with such phones?

ARE YOU A "GOOD STUDENT?"

I  am  about  to  start  teaching  a  group  of  students  in  two  weeks,  I  will  talk  to  them  about  how  to  be  a  successful  student!

On  the  first  day  of  the  class  at  the  school, it  is  not  uncommon  for  some  of  the  students  to  come   completely  prepard  with  their  schoolbag,  a  notebook, pencils  and  a  dictionary.
Other  students  come  with  a  cell phone,  but  nothing  else. 

What  do  you  think  are  the  characteristcs  of  a  "GOOD  STUDENT?"

SHOPPING! SHOPPING!

Ever  weekend, I  go  shopping  downtown  with  a  friend, but  it  is  more  of  a  hobby  than  anything  else. I  usually  take  a  little  cash,  but  I  also  have  a  credit  card  in  case  I  need  to  charge  something. 

 I  just  make  sure  I  don’ t  go  into  too  much  dept  spending  money  I  really  don’ t  have. I  mainly  visit  department and  clothing  stores  to  check  out  the  latest  fashions. If  I  find  something  on  sale  at  an  unbeatable  price,  I  sometimes  buy  it. I  make  sure  to  keep  the  receipt  in  case  I  have  to  return  the  item. 

I really enjoy  walking  along  the  store  fronts  and  gazing  into  the  windows  to  see  what  the  store  is  selling. At  other  times,  I  like  looking  at  the  displays  in  stores  or  strolling  through  shopping  centers. Sometimes,  something  like  a  shirt  or  Jeans  catches  my  eye,  but  I’  m  not  a  compulsive  shopper, so  I  never  buy  the  first  thing  I  see. Many  times,  I  come  home  without  buying  a  thing.

DENTIST' S OFFICEE

Every six months, I visit my dentist for a regular dental check up. At the dentist's office, a dental assistant will bring me into one of their private patient rooms and x-ray my teeth and gums to detect any problems inside my teeth.

 Then, the dentist reviews the x-rays and visually inspects my teeth to check to see if I have any dental problems like cavities.

Recently, I needed to find a book for one of my classes at the university, but I didn't know if the university library had it in their collection, so I went to the library Website and searched for the book online. 
You can search the library database either by subject, title, and author, and the Website will tell you if the book is checked in or check out by another patron. In my case, the book was still available, so I went to the library the next day and found it on the shelves using the library catalog number.

HOW TO STAY ORGANIZED!

You  lead  a  busy  life, and  the  time  is very  valuable  to  you.  The  key  to  your  success  is  effective  scheduling!

Your  schedule is the  most  important  thing  in  your  besiness  life. Use  one that  you  can  keep  with  you  all  the  time. For  examble,  a  paper  diary  or  electronic planner- TOT  a  wall  caledar!
Keep  your  schedule  up-to- date. Suppose  your client and cancels an  appointment. Erase  it  immediatelly.Or  your  client  makes  a  new  appoitment  on June  23rd. Enter  it right  then.
At  the  beginning  of  each  month, check  your  schedule for  deadlines. Then, make  a 'to-do' list  orther  of  priotity.

Finally, don' t forget  to  schedule  time  off! Everybody  needs  to relax. Enjoying  your free  time  gives  you  more  energy  for  business  success!

BIG  BEN  -  ENGLAND

London  is  the  capital  of  England. It's  a  very  big  city  with  millions  of  people.  They  are  not  all  English. There  are  people  from  all  the  Europe  there  and  from  Africa  and  Asia too.

 There  are  many  old  castles  and  houses  in  London.  There  are  also thousands  of  tourists  every  year.  In  the  centre  of  London  there  is  Big  Ben. It's  an  old  tower  with  a  big  clock  on  it. 

MY FAVOURITE HOBBY!

Although  cameras can  be  expensive, the pleasure  of taking  the  perfect photograph  makes  it  a  worthwhile  investment.
There  is nothing  I  enjoy  more  than  capturing  a  moment  in  time. This  is  why photography  is  my  favourite  hobby.
There  are  a  number  of reasons  why  I enjoy  photography. To  begin  with, photographys  are  like memories. They capture moments  in  my  life that  I can look  back upon  and  smile  about. Furthermore, photograph  helps  me to appreciate the  world  around  me. In  particular, wildlife photography  has  given  me a newfound  fondness  for  nature.

So, what is your favourite time of  the  year in your city, in your area?

Of course, this will depend on where you live in the world, but please share your feelings on this and what your favourite activity is at that time. Personally, I like the spring and Autumn, particularly because I really enjoy hiking and running.

The weather is pleasant in the spring, and I usually don't have to worry about getting bit by a rattlesnake on trails before the weather warms up in the summer. It also gives me the chance to enjoy nature far away from computers, cell phones, and email.

SMALL TALK - IN BUSINESS!

 It  happens  to  everyone. Somebody  introduces  you  to a  friend  and  then   walks  away . Now you' re  stanting  with  somebody you  don' t know. What  do  you  talk  about?

The  weather  is  always  a  possibility. But  there  isn' t  always  much to  say. To make a  conversation flow, it' s better  to  ask questions. Ask the  other  person  what  they  do  for  a  living, and what  their job  involves. Discussing  your own former jobs is  a  good  option, too.

Other  safe topics  include  your  home  town  and  your  education.

But avoid asking  people  about  their  religion, age  and  marital  status  until  you  know  them  better!

2. I  want  to  be  able  to teach  others  about  my  own  country  and  its  people. It's  important  that  other  people  understand  my  culture  and  me!
3. I want to  be  able  to  fully  exploit  the  internet. The internet  is  the  most  useful  resource  for  students  of  all  ages. Most  sites  are  in  English. Besites, I  want  to  communicate  with  people  from  other countries  through  e-mail  and  chat!
