1. I want to be able to communicate with people from other countries. Learning about others cultures helps me understand people better and I can make new friends!
2. I want to be able to teach others about my own country and its people. It's important that other people understand my culture and me!
3. I want to be able to fully exploit the internet. The internet is the most useful resource for students of all ages. Most sites are in English. Besites, I want to communicate with people from other countries through e-mail and chat!
4. I want to be able to learn the news from all over the world. Most of the world' s important newspapers and magazines have articles and endive editions in English!
5. I want to be able to read books from all over the world. Most of the world' s important books are translated into English from other languages!
6. I want to be able to study in other countries more and more universities and colleges are offering courses in English. This is true for universities and colleges in non-English- speaking countries!
7. I want to be able to travel. No matter where you travel in the world, there is almost always someone who knows English well enough to help you. English is the intrnational language of touris!
8. I want to be able to enjoy popular movies and music. Most popular entertainment is in English. This is especially true for songs from over the world!
9. I want to have a good job. Good jobs come more easily when you know English well!
10. I want to play an active role in our global village. English will help me accomplish this because it's the most widely spoken foreign language!
